GDPR
Privacy policy
This is a small, simple website. It has no forms, uses no analytics tools and sets no tracking cookies. Here we explain, in plain language, what personal data we may receive and what we do with it.
1. Who is the data controller
Victor Rezende · TileWork Data · Braga, Portugal.
Contact for any privacy question: hello@tileworkdata.com.
2. What data we receive
We only receive personal data when you email us. In that case we receive your email address, your name and whatever you choose to include in your message (for example your company, sector or the best time to talk).
The contact buttons on this site only open your own email program with a pre-written message. Nothing is sent by the website: the message only goes out when you send it.
Messages sent to hello@tileworkdata.com are forwarded by Cloudflare’s email routing service to the controller’s mailbox.
3. Why we use the data and on what legal basis
- To reply to your message and, if you ask for it, to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- If you become a client, to perform the contract and meet legal obligations, such as invoicing.
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. How long we keep it
Messages and contact details are kept for up to 2 years after the last contact. If a client relationship exists, we keep the data for as long as that relationship lasts and then for the period required by law (for example, for tax and invoicing purposes).
5. Hosting and technical logs
This site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). As with any website, Cloudflare may process technical request data, such as your IP address, browser and the date and time of access, in logs used to deliver the site and protect it against abuse and attacks. Cloudflare is based in the United States; these transfers are covered by the safeguards Cloudflare provides, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
We do not collect visitor statistics.
6. Cookies and browser storage
This site uses no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and loads no third-party content: fonts and images are served by the site itself.
If you choose a language (PT/EN), that preference is stored only in your browser (local storage, named tw-lang) so the site opens in the right language next time. This information is not sent to us and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
For security reasons, Cloudflare may in some cases set a strictly necessary technical cookie to tell people from bots. That cookie is not used to track you or for advertising.
7. Your rights
You can ask, at any time and free of charge, for:
- access to the data we hold about you;
- rectification of inaccurate data;
- erasure of your data;
- objection to, or restriction of, the processing;
- portability, meaning you receive your data in a commonly used format.
Just write to hello@tileworkdata.com. We reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe your data has not been handled properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD): www.cnpd.pt.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version here, with the date it was updated.
